- 4 thick slices of sandwich bread
- Butter for spreading bread 2 tbsp.
- Australian Striploin Beef 1 piece
- Black pepper
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 egg
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Mayonnaise 1 tablespoon
- 1/4 cup tomato sauce
- Worcestershire sauce 1 tbsp.
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Dijon mustard 2 tsp.
Prepare the sauce by adding mayonnaise, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder and Dijon mustard.
Season with salt and pepper. Coat the steak with flour. Shake off excess flour. Dip it in the beaten egg. Then coat the steak on the breadcrumbs evenly on both sides.
Heat a pan, add vegetable oil over medium heat. Fry the meat until the breadcrumbs are golden brown and the inside is cooked medium rare. Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Spread butter on one side of the bread evenly. Then toast the bread on both sides in the pan.
Assemble the sandwich by placing the meat on the bread with the sauce. Topped with another piece of bread. Use a knife to cut the meat into squares equal to the bread. Cut into bite-sized pieces and serve.
