Spooky-Cute Halloween Hot Dogs
Ingredients
- Hot Dogs
- Pillsbury Crescent Rolls Original or Puff Pastry
- Argo Corn Starch (for dusting)
- Yellow Mustard (for attaching the eyes)
- Edible Eyeballs (for decorating)
Directions
Prepare the Dough Lightly dust a clean work surface with Argo Corn Starch. Unroll the Pillsbury Crescent Rolls Original dough, pinch the perforated seams together, and gently roll it out until slightly thinner.
Cut the Dough into Strips Using a knife or pizza cutter, cut the dough into long, thin strips approximately 0.5–1 cm wide. These will become the mummy bandages.
Wrap the Hot Dogs Wrap the dough strips around each hot dog in a crisscross pattern to resemble mummy bandages. Leave a small gap near the top for the eyes. Avoid wrapping too tightly, as the dough will expand during cooking.
Air-Fry Until Golden Arrange the Mummy Hot Dogs in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving some space between each one. Air-fry at 170°C for approximately 8–12 minutes, or until the dough is fully cooked and golden brown. Note: Cooking time may vary depending on the type and thickness of the dough and the air fryer model.
Add the Eyes Remove the Mummy Hot Dogs from the air fryer and allow them to cool slightly. Add two small dots of Yellow Mustard to the exposed area of each hot dog, then gently press two Edible Eyeballs into place.
Decorate & Serve Arrange the Mummy Hot Dogs on a serving plate or tray to create a spooky little mummy army. Serve with Yellow Mustard or your favourite dipping sauce. Your Mummy Hot Dogs are ready to enjoy — golden and crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and perfect for a spooky Halloween party!
